Click Villagers
Platypus SMP uses the Click Villagers plugin to make trading with villagers faster and more convenient. Instead of waiting for villager trade menus to load the traditional way, you can interact with them more smoothly.
How It Works
Simply right-click a villager to open their trade menu, just like normal Minecraft - but Click Villagers makes the interaction more responsive and may add extra conveniences depending on how it is configured on the server.
Trading Tips
Finding Good Villagers
- Explore villages in the overworld to find naturally spawned villagers
- Players with towns sometimes set up villager trading halls - ask in chat if anyone has one
- Cure a zombie villager to get heavily discounted trades (standard Minecraft mechanic)
Locking Good Trades
Once you find a villager with a trade you like:
- Use them regularly to level them up (Novice → Apprentice → Journeyman → Expert → Master)
- Higher-level villagers unlock better trades
- Once a trade is unlocked, it stays available permanently
Useful Villager Professions

Economy & Villagers
Villager trades use emeralds - not the server's player economy currency. However:
- Selling items to villagers is a good way to get emeralds
- Some players use villager trading halls to generate income by farming crops and selling to farmer villagers
Tips
- Protect your villagers inside a claimed town plot so they can't be harmed or stolen
- Cure zombie villagers for massively discounted trades - a cured villager can sell items for 1 emerald instead of 20+
- Breed villagers to grow your trading hall
- Keep your villagers in a safe, enclosed space so they don't wander off
